Our renewable energy plants started production in October 2010. Our Plants collectively are expected to generate 99MW approx. of green electricity which is enough to supply 950,000 homes and save over 500,000 tons of CO2 every year. It’s difficult to visualize how much this is, but is similar to the amount of carbon sequestered by over 20,00,000 tree seedlings grown for 10 years and the saving is equal to nearly 150 million miles driven by an average future power car.

Completing the Construction Programme
Before we were able to generate electricity we had to prepare the site, construct the buildings that make up our renewable energy plant and lay the cable which carries all the power we produce in to the Power Grid. Once everything is in place we then carry out an extensive testing and commissioning process to make sure everything is just as it should be and all the numerous safety features were working perfectly.
